Chandler Parsons says he's happy for the Rockets

Chandler Parsons' season ended in the worst possible way, with his new team getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by his old team, while he was forced to sit on the sidelines with a surgically repaired knee and watch it all happen right before his eyes.

The way Parsons left the Houston Rockets last summer put a bitter taste in most of their fanbase's collective mouth. But the small forward says he has no bad feelings toward his former team and wishes them nothing but the best as they fight on in the Western Conference finals.

Here's exactly what Parsons said in a radio interview with KESN-FM 103.3, as transcribed by The Dallas Morning News:

"I'm happy for those guys. I think a lot of people would think I'd be bitter, but not at all. I still have a close relationship with those guys. I wish 'em nothing but the best of luck."

Parsons has obvious connections with a majority of Houston's current roster. But it still must sting at least a little bit knowing they were able to get farther without him than they did last season with Parsons playing a huge role. (It turns out defense matters after all.)
