The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed free agent forward Samardo Samuels, who left Louisville after his sophomore season.
The 6-foot-9, 260-pounder averaged 15.3 points and 7.0 rebounds last season for the Cardinals before declaring for the NBA. In 70 starts at the school, Samuels averaged 13.6 points and 5.9 rebounds and made 55 percent of his shots.
Samuels, 21, played on Chicago's summer league team in Las Vegas. He averaged 12.6 points and 7.4 boards in five games.
