Cavs' Davis sitting out finale

Published Apr. 14, 2011 12:30 a.m. ET

Cleveland Cavaliers starting point guard Baron Davis is sitting out the season finale because of back spasms.

Davis is being held out of the game against the Washington Wizards as a precaution by Cavs coach Byron Scott, who didn't want to risk further injury to Davis, who turned 32 on Wednesday.

Davis missed several games because of his back. He averaged 13.9 points and 6.1 assists for Cleveland, which acquired him in a Feb. 24 trade from the Los Angeles Clippers.

With Davis out, Ramon Sessions is making his 38th start.
