Cavaliers' Samuels out with strained groin
Cavaliers forward Samardo Samuels is out for Tuesday's game against Charlotte because of a strained left groin.
Samuels is averaging 7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds. He missed three games last week with a sprained right wrist, but returned Sunday against New York and scored nine points in 21 minutes.
Charlotte, which is battling for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, dressed only nine players. Guard Stephen Jackson, the Bobcats' leading scorer with an 18.5 average, is out with a strained left hamstring, an injury that could sideline him the rest of the season.
Forward Tyrus Thomas (sore left knee), guard Shaun Livingston (bruised tailbone), forward Eduardo Najera (back spasms) and center Joel Przybilla (sore right knee) are also out.
