Can Tony Snell or Doug McDermott have breakout seasons for Bulls?
The Bulls are bringing back the exact same roster as last season, save for rookie Bobby Portis who was added via the 22nd overall pick in this summer's draft.
There's been a coaching change in Chicago, and Fred Hoiberg may be able to get better results out of the group by taking a different approach. But realistically, in order for the Bulls to truly contend this year, they're going to need some of the guys on the bench to step up.

These are just some of the ways having a deeper bench would benefit the Bulls next season. Snell was already a regular rotation player averaging 19.6 minutes per game last season. But McDermott played sparingly, so he'll need to make the most of the opportunities that he's given to prove to his new coach that he can contribute consistently.

And while this wasn't a luxury for the Bulls last season, with the proper development of Snell and McDermott under Hoiberg moving forward, it can be. ...
Continuing, the league is moving more and more towards small ball, the Golden State Warriors the premier example. This past season, the Bulls didn't have the option, or did but chose not to. With Snell and McDermott in the fold, it can become an option. More likely in this case it'd be McDermott at the four spot, and a new dynamic offensively.
