Bucks center Bogut's Australian move in limbo

Andrew Bogut's deal to play in Australia's basketball league during the NBA lockout is in limbo due to an insurance wrangle.

The agent for the Milwaukee Bucks center said Tuesday that Bogut may be available to play for the Sydney Kings in their National Basketball League season-opener against the Melbourne Tigers on Friday if a suitable insurance policy can be put in place.

However, agent Bruce Kaider said there was also risk the Australian will not play in his domestic league at all if an insurance deal is not struck, adding: ''It's getting challenging because time is against us.''

Bogut is one of many NBA players who have agreed to play in international leagues on short-term contracts that allow a return to the U.S. if and when the labor dispute is settled.
