Brown on Noel's recent struggles: "That's not Nerlens Noel"

Brett Brown isn't buying that Nerlens Noel has regressed permanently, despite the way he's performed in his team's last four contests.

Noel had his worst game of the season in the Sixers' blowout loss to the Pacers, but Brown is confident that Noel will return to his old self in the very near future.

Power forward Nerlens Noel has struggled in his four games since missing two contests with a sore wrist, averaging 7.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.25 blocks and shooting 34.3 percent from the field (12-for-35) in the four. He went without a blocked shot in three of the four contests after averaging 12.2 points. 9.8 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and shooting 42.1 percent in the first six games.

Brown limited to Noel to 24 minutes Wednesday due to Noel's sore wrist, knee tendinitis and being "down in performance." Noel went without a block, steal or assist for the first time in his two-year pro career.

"That's not Nerlens Noel," Brown said.
