Brooklyn Nets Disapprove of Donald Trump's 'Locker Room' Comments
Many NBA players have spoken up about presidential candidate Donald Trump’s remarks about “locker room” talk. A few Brooklyn Nets players gave their input on this as well.
The Brooklyn Nets have been pretty active in discussing social issues, with the team pursuing acts of solidarity and wishing to do more acts. Add tackling Donald Trump’s comments on “locker room” talk to the mix.

In case you missed it, Trump has been at the center of controversy regarding a video that surfaced of him and Today Show host Billy Bush making lewd remarks about women. With the presidential election just a month away, it’s only natural for the video to draw a lot of attention from the media and the public. However, since this development, Trump has dismissed his comments in the video as “locker-room banter.”
Numerous NBA players, beginning with Jamal Crawford of the Los Angeles Clippers, weighed their thoughts on Trump labeling his remarks as “locker room” talk. A few Nets, including Jeremy Lin, recently chimed in as well.

It’s no surprise that Lin, as one of the Nets’ newest leaders, was quick to comment on this. The 28-year-old point guard was the first Net to speak out about Colin Kaepernick’s protest against the national anthem. At Media Day, he expressed his interest in taking action, but emphasized that Brooklyn should protest as a team. We have already seen the Nets do so in a few preseason games.

Nets’ third-year player, Sean Kilpatrick, discussed how Trump’s comments were too far-fetched as well.
Sean Kilpatrick said that's not the talk of any locker room he's been in. “Yeah that was over the line. He went too far with that one" #nets

According to NetsDaily, Brook Lopez was also aggravated by Trump’s remarks.
“That’s not something I’ve ever seen go on in a locker room. It seemed pretty offensive. That’s not the craziest answer in the world, right? It’s common sense.”
It’s nice to know that this kind of talk does not happen in Brooklyn’s locker rooms. The team has a lot of veterans, and with older players like Lin and Lopez expressing discontent in these types of situations, it’ll only feed off on the younger guys on the team.
