Blazers' guard tosses amazing alley-oop from behind the backboard

The Portland Trail Blazers dropped a game to the Utah Jazz on New Year's Eve that wasn't particularly close, but all in all it was totally worth it because Tim Frazier threw one of the best alley-oop passes you'll ever see:

Frazier, the seldom-used point guard, is only averaging 1.4 assists per game, but this one should be worth, oh, 63 points.

Do you think he was just trying to save the ball and keep it in play, or was there more method to this play's madness? Either way, it's incredible.
