In only ten games, FC Barcalona, better known for their soccer team, has accumulated a .500 record. They are also in charge of grooming the future of the Atlanta Hawks’ swingman position. Other than Taurean Prince, DeAndre’ Bembry, and Tim Hardaway Jr., Marcus Eriksson is next up. The 6’8 Sweedish wing is known for his shooting marksmanship. How has he been producing for FC Barcalona?

His numbers actually improved since last time, which really shows his lack of opportunity. At 5-5, the team has been nothing to write home about just yet. Injuries have taken away from the rotation, as notable names such as Victor Claver and Pau Ribas have been out for extended periods. One would think this would put Eriksson right into the lineup, but this is somehow incorrect.
The most minutes Eriksson has played this season has been only 23. Overseas, there are usually situations in which young, talented players may not seem to receive an adequate amount of minutes , even if their skillset seems better than a veteran. Erikkson has been placed in such a trap recently.
Erikkson has only scored in four of the nine games so far this season, and his biggest outburst came against Zalgiris, where he dropped 11, including a 3-5 performance from behind the three-point line.
