Atlanta assigns Edy Tavares to D-League, once again

Atlanta re-assigned center Edy Tavares to the NBA Development League, where he will play for the Austin Spurs.

The 7-foot-3 big man has received very little playing time for the Hawks. He's played 12 total minutes this season and has only been active for 12 of Atlanta's 27 games. According to MyAJC.com, he was not at practice on Thursday. 

This is the third time Tavares has been assigned to the D-League.
