Andrew Bogut suffers scary knee injury during Game 5

Published Jun. 13, 2016 11:05 p.m. ET

Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut needed to be helped off the floor after suffering an apparent knee injury during the third quarter of Game 5 on Monday.

Bogut attempted to block J.R. Smith's layup attempt when the two players collided. Smith's body hit Bogut's left knee, bending it awkwardly when he landed.

Bogut remained on the floor in obvious pain holding on to his knee as play continued. Once play was blown dead, Warriors personnel attended to Bogut.

As Bogut was helped to the locker room, he put no weight on his left leg.

The team announced that Bogut would not be back for the remainder of Game 5 and will have an MRI Monday night.
