Alexey Shved's Knicks career was most famous for the worst shot in basketball history. Apparently, that doesn't matter overseas.
Shved had signed on not just to go back to Russia, but also to become one of the world's highest-paid players. Actually, the highest.

Not bad money, Alexey. Not bad at all.

Alexey Shved recently turned down a contract offer from the Knicks, and has signed a huge deal to return home to Russia.
Sportando reports the contract is worth $10.2 million over three years. This contract makes him the highest paid basketball player outside of the NBA.
Shved made a name for himself in Euroleague before heading to the NBA in 2012. He played for four different NBA franchises from 2012-15 including the Timberwolves, 76ers, Rockets and Knicks. He was involved in many trades near the end of last season before finishing in New York. He averaged 10.3 points and 2.5 assists last season.
The Knicks wanted the 6-6 point guard back, but weren't offering enough.
