NEW ORLEANS (AP) Philadelphia coach Brett Brown says guard Michael Carter-Williams is sick and unable to play at New Orleans.
Carter-Williams, last season's rookie of the year, has an upper respiratory infection.
He is averaging 15.3 points, 7.1 assists and six rebounds per game this season and was instrumental in the 76ers' victory over New Orleans in Philadelphia on Jan. 16, scoring 22 points.
Brown says Carter-Williams' absence on Monday means he has ''a bunch of young guys who are going to get to play more.''
