What Fans Can Expect From NASCAR Heat Evolution DLC

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

There’s a pileup out there. For so many years of my teenage life that was the statement that was said by my spotter yelled whenever I caused an accident in NASCAR 2005: Chase for the cup and while I did get annoyed with the statement at times, I still thought the use of the spotter was a great way to get gamers more immersed in the experience the game has to offer.

11 years and countless video game titles later, NASCAR: Heat Evolution is finally here and its DLC will get your heart racing. Dusenberry Martin Racing, who created the game , announced that DLC for the game includes epic challenge packs, historic paint schemes, and even the opportunity to have specific spotters talking to you on the radio.

Speaking of specific spotters, the game  ships with Bobby Labonte as the default spotter for your game, but a Rick Allen download will also be available for just 99 cents. The site also revealed that future spotters will include real life spotters, drivers, and even commentators, but not much more information is available about that at this time.

The game will also ship with 23 challenge races for gamers to enjoy, but more is scheduled to be released later on. Challenge packs will cost players just 99 cents to purchase and the first pack will be available for download in the middle of September. More DLC is set to come out every month and each monthly pack will reportedly include four unique challenges to complete.

NASCAR Heat evolution even comes with  a lot of free and enthralling DLC for fans to enjoy right off the bat. Not only will fans be given a monthly Toyota pack , which will vary by month,  fans who pre-order from best buy and Gamestop will receive exclusive paint schemes that will be available nowhere else!

Then there’s   the pit pass bundle, which will include Darlington throwback paint schemes, Sprint Cup Chase paint schemes, a spotter audio of Rick Allen and the first challenge pack. A price has not been determined yet for the pit pass bundle, but it will reportedly include a few very cool challenge races for fans to enjoy and try to beat!

In the end, the DLC for NASCAR Heat Evolution sounds amazing and fans should consider some of the available features to further immerse them in the action that the game has to offer. With that being said, hopefully, NASCAR Heat Evolution expands on their ideas for DLC and brings fans a NASCAR legends spotter pack for them to enjoy.
