Webber makes peace with Red Bull after feud
Mark Webber says he has made peace with Red Bull's bosses after his outburst following Sunday's victory in Formula One's British Grand Prix.
The Australian vented his anger after teammate Sebastian Vettel appeared to be getting preferential treatment at Silverstone. Webber, who is third in the drivers' championship, ahead of Vettel, said Thursday he has ''cleared the air'' with the team.
On Saturday, Red Bull stripped Webber of the only remaining new front wing and handed it to Vettel after the German's had failed. Webber said he would never have signed a new contract with the team if he had known Vettel would be favored.
Webber concedes he said things ''in the heat of the moment which, with hindsight goggles on, probably shouldn't have been said.''
