TBT: Juan Pablo Montoya takes journalists for wild ride in Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

What do you get when combine a world-class racer who's a free-spirit a 638-horsepower Corvette and a closed course at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, Mich.?
You get the crap scared out of, that's what.Â
And on this Throwback Thursday, we go back to June 2010, when the folks from Chevrolet Racing invited a groups of journalists -- yours truly included -- to Milford for a little bit of fun.
Make that a lot of fun.
The high point was then-NASCAR driver and now two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya taking us journo-types around for hot laps in a bright red, 638-horsepower Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, one of the baddest hot rods to ever roll out of Detroit.
The first thing Montoya did was turn off the traction control, and then he took us out one at a time for wild, high-speed laps that featured him throwing the monster-motor Corvette sideways like he was in a sprint car at Eldora.
My ride was exactly like the one in this video (although it's not me in this clip).
At one point, as the high-speed mayhem built to a frenzy, Montoya looked over at me at yelled, "Hey! Am I scaring the f--- out of you yet?" And then laughed, nailed the accelerator and away we went.
