Christian singer Sandi Patty says it's been ''a really powerful thing'' to see the resiliency of Oklahoma residents affected by Monday's deadly tornado.
Patty lives about 20 miles from hard-hit Moore, Okla., and says her church has been serving as a relief center for tornado victims.
Twenty-four people were killed and hundreds injured by the EF5 tornado that struck near Oklahoma City.
Patty spoke about the storm victims before singing the national anthem at Sunday's 97th Indianapolis 500. The longtime Indiana resident performed the anthem at the race for the sixth time.
