'Rowdy' weekend? Kyle Busch, others take momentum to Dover

I always love it when we go to Dover. It's always an exciting place to watch a race. This is another track we are visiting for the first time with the new 2015 rules package. We've really not been anywhere that is relative to Dover. I know there are folks that like to believe that Dover is a "Bristol on steroids," but trust me, Dover is significantly different.

I think all odds obviously will be on the No. 48. I say that because Jimmie Johnson is the winningest driver at Dover with nine victories. Taking that a step further, Hendrick Motorsports has 17 wins there which is head and shoulders ahead of any other race organization. So we always tend to use this race as a measuring stick of where the No. 48 program is.

Jimmie's teammate, Jeff Gordon, won there in the fall, so maybe this is the weekend that Jeff returns to Victory Lane. If he did, that would mark our 10th driver to win in 13 races this season, plus obviously punch Jeff's ticket to the last Chase for the Sprint Cup of his NASCAR Hall of Fame career.

Greg Biffle is coming off a pretty strong resurgence after two weeks in Charlotte, so keep an eye on him this weekend. He's no stranger to Dover's Victory Lane, either, having won there a couple times. What I find interesting is the most dominating driver in our sport the last couple years, Kevin Harvick, has never won there.

The other driver you should keep your eye on is Martin Truex Jr. There is no way, simply no way he can keep running the way he's running and not win a race this year. It would also mean the world for Martin to win at Dover this weekend because this is his home track. This is also the place Martin got the very first win of his career back in 2007.

Expect to see long green runs on Sunday. We always get them there and it makes the race even more challenging. I think the other driver you probably should keep an eye on is Kyle Busch. This might be the weekend where he'll grab a win. Believe it or not, but he's the only Toyota driver to win there. He's won it twice and we all know how motivated he is to get the win and get to 30th or better in the points to still make the 2015 Chase.
