Rick Ren suing former employer, Kyle Busch Motorsports, for $390K

According to a report at SportingNews.com, Rick Ren is suing his former employer, Kyle Busch Motorsports, for $390,000 in commissions and bonuses the team allegedly owes him.

An attorney for KBM told the website that the team "does not owe Mr. Ren or his company a penny."

Ren formerly worked as KBM's competition director and general manager, but the team parted ways with him after the 2013 season, when it shut down its program in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

According to the suit, Ren claimed he's owed $355,000 in sales commissions -- 10 percent of two deals worth a combined $3.55 million -- as well as $35,000 in bonus money.

"There are multiple other reasons why my client is certain that it owes no money at all and we will vigorously defend what my client believes to be a frivolous lawsuit," KBM attorney Adam Ross told SportingNews.com.
