NASCAR Qualifying Rained Out, Busch Will Start On Pole
The NASCAR Chase will begin this weekend at Chicagoland and thanks to the weather all of the Chase drivers will be bunched up at the front of the field.
NASCAR will be on the track at Chicagoland on Friday but it will not be for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying as that was cancelled by NASCAR early in the day on Friday. With qualifying not taking place, the field for the first race of the 2016 NASCAR Chase will be set based on Chase seeding.
This means that all of the Chase drivers will fill the first 16 spots on the starting grid with Kyle Busch starting on the pole. Having all 16 Chase drivers at the front of the field should be exciting but it will also provide some tense moments at the start of the race. Should there be a wreck at the front of the field in the opening stages of the race, it will surely impact several of the Chase drivers.
Below is a quick look at the entire starting grid for the race on Sunday.
