NASCAR has assessed a P4 level penalty to the No. 33 GMS Racing team of Camping World Truck Series driver Brandon Jones for an infraction discovered during pre-qualifying inspection for last weekend's truck race Talladega Superspeedway.

As a result of the penalty -- which was issued for illegal brackets/supports on Jones' truck -- crew chief Shane Huffman has been fined $10,000, suspended for the next three truck races plus any non-championship races or special events which might occur during that period, and placed on NASCAR probation for a six-month period following the issuance of the penalty.

Jones and team owner Maurice Gallagher Jr. have been docked 25 championship driver points and 25 championship owner points, respectively.

Jones finished second to race winner Timothy Peters in Saturday's Fred's 250.
