NASCAR community supports autism awareness at Dover

Published May. 14, 2016 11:49 a.m. ET

One of the best parts of the NASCAR community is the willingness of racers to rally behind a good cause.

At Dover International Speedway this weekend, drivers and teams are standing together to support autism awareness. Thursday, many of the stars of NASCAR participated in the 2016 Drive for Autism charity golf tournament, an annual event founded and chaired by Artie Kempner, the Coordinating Director for NASCAR on FOX.

And this weekend at the track, a lot of teams are rocking the autism puzzle piece on their cars, as well as the names of friends touched by autism.

We can’t think of a better way to help build awareness and carry the flag for autism research.
