Kyle Larson will go to a backup car after his No. 32 Chevy took rear-end damage during NASCAR Nationwide Series Happy Hour on Friday at Kansas Speedway.

Larson had run 13 laps in the second session when he made contact with the Turn 4 wall. His best lap was 175.291 mph. Larson was ninth in first practice with a lap of 175.713 mph.

The 21-year-old driver is ninth in Nationwide Series for Turner Scott Motorsports. He will make his Sprint Cup debut next weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway with Phoenix Racing in an Earnhardt Ganassi Racing-prepared Chevy.
