Farmer’s Insurance will sponsor Kasey Kahne in the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet starting next season.

The deal, which was inked late last week, is for primary sponsorship for 22 races each season and is estimated at $13 million a year.

This is Kahne’s eighth full season on the Sprint Cup tour. He’s posted 11 career wins and his best finish in the point standings was eighth-place in 2006. Kahne’s seven-season tenure in the No. 9 car came to a tumultuous end last year when he left the team and joined Red Bull Racing with five races remaining on the schedule.

Kahne, 31 is currently running the No. 4 Toyota at Red Bull Racing on a one-year deal until Mark Martin’s contract ends with Hendrick Motorsports. Kahne is 18th in the point standings.
