Jay Penske's team finds engines for 2 cars
Jay Penske's team finally has engines for its two cars and gotten one of its drivers onto the track.
After dumping their original Lotus engines, filing a $4.6 million lawsuit against the engine manufacturer and spending the first week in Indianapolis trying to cut a deal for two new engines, Penske finally found a way to make it work.
Though no official announcement was made by IndyCar officials or the team, France's Sebastien Bourdais drove onto the track for a special practice session shortly after 8 a.m. Practice was not scheduled to begin until noon. But when it appeared a deal was imminent Wednesday night, series and race officials changed the schedule to give Penske's team extra track time.
England's Katherine Legge has not yet made it onto the track.
