Dale Earnhardt Jr., Air Force cadets 'drop in' on Bristol Motor Speedway

OK, now this is cool.

Not only did NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. show up at Bristol Motor Speedway for Saturday's inaugural "Battle at Bristol" College Football game between the University of Tennessee and Virginia Tech, but the U.S. Air Force dropped in, too.

Literally.

A trio of cadets from the U.S. Air Force Wings of Blue Skydive Unit jumped out of the Goodyear Blimp from a height of 2,600 feet over the famed Tennessee short track.

It was the first time Air Force personnel have skydived out of the Goodyear Blimp, and by all appearances, the event was a huge success for all involved, including Earnhardt, who met with the cadets afterward.
