Richard Petty Motorsports and Biagi-DenBeste Racing announced Tuesday they would partner to field a car for Corey LaJoie in four upcoming NASCAR Nationwide Series races.

The second-generation driver will attempt to make the upcoming events at Kansas Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway in the No. 98 Medallion Financial Ford owned by Biagi-DenBeste Racing.

LaJoie has two career NASCAR Nationwide starts to his name. The first was a 34th-place finish for Richard Petty Motorsports in the 2013 season finale at Homestead, while LaJoie finised 16th in his first start for Biagi-DenBeste Racing earlier this year at Kentucky Speedway.

"I have to thank both RPM and Biagi-DenBeste Racing for giving me this opportunity to put four races together in the Nationwide Series," said LaJoie. "This is a very good car with good people supporting it. They are a proven team that is capable of finishing in the top-five. These races will be another great opportunity to advance my learning curve on the bigger tracks and with cars with more horsepower."

As a part-time team, Biagi-DenBeste Racing has made 11 starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season with drivers Aric Almirola, Jeb Burton, Ryan Gifford, LaJoie and David Ragan.

"Corey has shown that he learns very quickly on the track," said team co-owner Fred Biagi. "Our first race together we finishing 15th in only his second Nationwide Seires start. We feel that we can compete in the top 10 and top five in these four races with Corey and that's our goal."
