NASCAR announced Monday morning Chad Seigler has been promoted to vice president, business development, and will report directly to NASCAR Senior Vice President and Chief Saleds Officer Jim O'Connell.

Moving into this new role on Feb. 9, Seigler will be tasked with securing the new Sprint Cup Series entitlement sponsor, as well as setting the overall business strategy for NASCAR by leading representatives in New York, Charlotte, Daytona and Los Angeles.

"Throughout his tenure with NASCAR, Chad has used his skill set to develop relationships and help teams and tracks attract and retain sponsors," said O'Connell. "His experience working with the industry and with sponsors across all three national series -- combined with years he spent working in-house at our premier sereies entitlement partner -- makes him the perfect choice for this critical role."
