Sebastian Saavedra will enter the Indianapolis 500 with Andretti Autosport/AFS Racing.

The team said Tuesday the 21-year-old Colombian will attempt to qualify for this year's race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Saavedra will also drive this season in the Indy Lights Series, and be the official test and reserve driver for Andretti's three IndyCar entries.

Saavedra was the 2009 Indy Lights rookie of the year. He made his IndyCar debut with Bryan Herta Autosport at the 2010 Indianapolis 500, and ran a partial IndyCar season last year with Conquest Racing.
