4 drivers with best chances to rebound at Texas Motor Speedway

The Sprint Cup Series heads to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend for the Duck Commander 500 (FOX, 7 p.m. ET), a 1.5-mile track that will be a change of pace for drivers after coming off a weekend at NASCAR's shortest track -- Martinsville Speedway.

Here are four drivers who have the best chance to rebound at TMS after a tough Sunday at Martinsville:

Martin Truex Jr. -- The driver of the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Toyota is coming off his two worst finishes of the season -- 32nd in Fontana and 18th at Martinsville. But, Truex Jr. finished in the top 10 in both races at Texas last season.

Kevin Harvick -- The Stewart-Haas Racing driver was only able to salvage a 17th-place finish at Martinsville. Harvick has surprisingly never won at Texas, but he has come close -- finishing second, second and third respectively in the past three races. There's a good chance he could collect some six-shooters on Saturday night.

Denny Hamlin -- The five-time Martinsville winner finished a disappointing 39th at "The Paperclip" after hard contact with the wall ended his day. Victory Lane is familar territory for Hamlin at Texas, as he swept both races in 2010. Hamlin finished 11th in the Duck Commander 500 last season and he has a 12th-place average finish at the track.

Jimmie Johnson -- OK, a ninth-place finish at Martinsville isn't terrible by any means, but it might be for a driver who has won there eight times. There's no question Johnson will have a shot at victory on Saturday night. "Six-Time" also has six wins at TMS, and not to mention another driver hasn't pulled into Victory Lane there since the 2014 spring race. With an incredible eighth-place average finish, Johnson could make it four-in-a-row.
