WATCH: Driver walks away after horrifying crash in Indy Lights race

BY foxsports • June 13, 2015

RC Enerson was lucky to walk away from an airborne crash during Saturday evening’s Indy Lights race on the streets of Toronto.

The 18-year-old was battling Nelson Piquet Jr. for the lead when the two made contact in turn three.

Enerson’s Schmidt Peterson Motorsports race car flipped over backwards, narrowly avoiding contact with the overhead bridge before landing back on the circuit and sliding into and over a tire barrier in the turn three runoff.

Enerson’s Twitter account reported that the driver had been cleared from the medical center.
