The 24 Hours of Le Mans sports car race, held annually at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France, is one of the oldest and most historic motor races on Earth.

It is often ranked up there with the Indianapolis 500, Monaco Grand Prix, Daytona 500 and Isle of Man TT as one of the most prestigious races on Earth, with many giving the nod to Le Mans.

Throughout its history, cars of all different shapes and sizes have competed in the event, but only a small percentage of those have gone on to become race winners.

Recently, a video by Donut Media has came to light in which 10 of the most legendary Le Mans winning cars are shown in chronological order. The transitions between each image morph one car into another, showing how the shape of the cars has changed throughout the 90 years of history of the event in just 60 seconds.
