That was wild! Three spectacular drag racing escapes from last week

Last week was seemingly not a very good week to be a drag racer. We have three exhibits to prove this was the case and - while the cars each got scratched up (to put it mildly) - the drivers were all able to live to race another day:

Exhibit A) Bruce Mullins Blower Pro Mod got scratched up when he lost control at the Door Wars event last week at Maryland International Raceway. However, through a miraculous piece of driving, Mullins was able to prevent the car from flipping over, as he stood it up on its two left wheels and then its two right-side wheels before finally bringing it to land. The run starts at 0:45 in this video:

Exhibits B and C both come from the IHRA Summing Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL at Richmond Dragway.

Exhibit B) Nick Womack was the first to have a wild ride at Richmond Dragway in Virginia in his Top Sportsman drag racing car, flipping over in the run at the bottom of this article beginning at 0:25 (slow motion replay at 3:30). The car was destroyed after turning over two times, and it didn’t help out when a fire broke out afterwards. Fortunately Womack was able to walk out unaided. However, Womack’s crash seemed much more tame compared to what happened to …

Exhibit C) Marvin Napier – Napier loses control at 4:30 in the following video (slow motion at 6:30). We’ll let you decide for yourself, but we counted six rolls.
