Christopher Mies, winner of the 2015 Australian GT Championship, was one of the pilots of the No. 74 Jamec Pem Audi R8 LMS during last weekend’s Bathurst 12 Hour race at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Australia.

Although the car ended up retiring from the race on Sunday due to accident damage, Mies and the team were still given plenty of thrills in the new Audi, and now Mies has shared that experience to us via YouTube.

The eight-and-a-half minute long video takes place during the FP4 session ahead of the event, yet still features a couple of close calls as the drivers were pushing their cars to the limit in preparation of Sunday’s big race, which was won by Shane van Gisbergen.
