Lamborghini Miura used in The Italian Job is for sale
The 1968 Lamborghini Miura that was used in the opening scene of The Italian Job is for sale at Cheshire Classic Cars.
The car has had five owners from new and is in showroom condition, despite a new engine being fitted in 2011 and 19,000 kilometers (11,800 miles) showing on the odometer.
This 1968 Miura P400 is one of only three to be painted in Arancio Miura (Miura Orange) and is the only one of those three to feature a white leather interior.
But perhaps the best news of all is confirmation for any concerned viewers that this Miura was never destroyed by a bulldozer. In fact, the car seen being tossed into a ravine at the end of the opening sequence in The Italian Job had been involved in a real life car accident and, according to the Daily Mail, could not be found by the film crew when they went back the next day to look for it.
