A 1972 Ferrari Dino 246GT bought new by Rolling Stones guitarist, singer and songwriter Keith Richards, is now up for auction.

The car, designed by Enzo Ferrari's son Alfredino, is powered by a 2.4 liter V6 engine that departed from traditional Ferrari design by being a mid-engined car. Consequently, the car got favorable reviews on its handling side and became a popular collector car throughout the 1970s.

Indeed when Keith Richards, who bought this car new in February 1972, returned to England from the United States in 1975, he made sure to bring the car with him and get it registered to his address in London.
