The first Hesketh Formula One car, driven by James Hunt and Alan Jones, will be auctioned off May 10 at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique. The car is expected to sell for between €350.000 - €650.000 ($483,070 - $897,930).

One of only three Heskeths Formula 1 cars to be built, this car took James Hunt to his famous victory at the 1974 Silverstone International Trophy Race.

The car has been correctly restored by its current owner who has owned it since 2006. Since then, he has raced it at tracks such as Road America, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Silverstone, Nurburgring, and Monaco.
