Elon Musk wants to take traffic underground
Traffic.
You can’t go under it, you can’t go over it, you have to go through it.
At least that’s what most of us are led to believe. Thank goodness for us that we have people out there like Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk who are willing to challenge the status quo:

Now you may think that this initial tweet was just a knee-jerk reaction to Musk sitting in traffic for a while, but the 45-year-old wasn’t prepared to let it go. In fact, he’s even already thought up a name for it.

And a slogan.

All joking aside, surely once Musk got out of his traffic jam, he would clarify to his 6.4 million Twitter followers that none of this was for real, right?
Well, not exactly.

Musk has even updated his Twitter bio to read that he deals with “Tesla, SpaceX, Tunners (yes, tunnels) & OpenAI.”
Earlier this year, Musk had spoken on his fondness of tunnels during a Q&A session at SpaceX’s Hyperloop pod design competition.
“It’s a really simple and obvious idea and I wish more people would do it: build more tunnels,” said Musk. “Tunnels are great. It’s just a hole in the ground, it’s not that hard. But if you have tunnels in cities you would massively alleviate congestion and you could have tunnels at all different levels; you could probably have 30 layers of tunnels and completely fix the congestion problem in high-density cities. So, I strongly recommend tunnels.”
