Trey Canard and Jake Weimer were injured in a scary crash during Saturday night's Monster Energy Supercross race in Detroit.

The two riders were battling for a transfer spot during 450SX Semi 1 when Weimer came up short in the rhythm section, leaving Canard nowhere to go. Canard's front wheel landed on Weimer's shoulder as both competitors slammed to the ground.

The race was immediately red flagged as the Asterisk Medical Crew attended to Canard and Weimer.

Canard, who entered the race second in the championship, managed to stand under his own power but had his left arm in a cast. He was then taken to the medical center at the track to receive further attention.

Weimer was assisted to his feet before being transferred to a local hospital for further evaluation.

UPDATE -- Canard confirmed on Instagram that he suffered a broken bone in the crash. No information has been released on Weimer yet.
