Hearing reset for ex-fighter in porn actress attack case
LAS VEGAS (AP) A court hearing was reset to June 3 for a former mixed martial arts fighter's challenge of felony charges he's facing in the alleged attempted murder of his porn actress ex-girlfriend and her friend.
Prosecutors say Brandon Sua, defense lawyer for Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver, was involved in court hearings in Los Angeles and unable to be in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Sua didn't immediately respond to a message.
Koppenhaver, also known as War Machine, is charged with beating and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Christy Mack, at her home early last Aug. 8.
The Associated Press usually doesn't identify alleged victims of sex assault, but Mack agreed to let her name be used.
Koppenhaver is also charged with attacking Corey Thomas, who was staying the night at Mack's house when Koppenhaver arrived.
