Star striker Thierry Henry didn't travel to Texas for the New York Red Bulls' match against FC Dallas because of inflammation in his Achilles tendon.

Henry has endured chronic pain in both of his Achilles in recent years and appeared to aggravate the condition during training Thursday.

The injury isn't considered serious, but the Red Bulls have three games over the next eight days and the team decided to leave Henry in New York for Saturday's game. They are hoping he'll be ready for the next game, Wednesday at home against Real Salt Lake.

Henry has 12 goals, sharing the MLS lead for goals scored with Los Angeles' Landon Donovan.
