Former Hull and Manchester City midfielder Geovanni has signed with Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes.
The 30-year-old Brazilian had signed a two-year contract with Hull last September but was released when the Tigers were relegated from the Premier League.
He agreed to the deal with the Earthquakes on Monday as a designated player not subject to the league's salary budget.
Geovanni had 13 goals in 65 games with Hull, leading the club with eight in his first season. He previously was with Cruzeiro (1997-01, 2006-07), America Mineiro (1998-99), Barcelona (2001-03), Benfica (2003-06) and Manchester City (2007-08).
He made one appearance for Brazil's national team, in the 2001 Copa America against Mexico.
