Carey Talley scored a stoppage time penalty kick to lift D.C. United to a 3-2 victory over Chivas USA on Saturday night.

Talley finished low past defender-turned-goalkeeper Dario Delgado, who stepped in to try and stop the shot after Zach Thornton was sent off for his challenge on D.C.'s Santino Quaranta in front of the goal.

Adam Cristman added his first goal of the season and 17-year-old Andy Najar got the first goal of his MLS career as United (2-8-0) scored three goals for the first time this season.

Justin Braun and Maykel Galindo scored for Chivas USA (3-7-1), which has lost four straight.

After Braun and Najar scored in the first half, Cristman put United ahead in the 76th minute when Delgado's sliding clearance attempt hit off his own goalpost and into Cristman's path.

Galindo tied it a few minutes later with a darting run and low finish past D.C. goalkeeper Bill Hamid. Neither team had a serious game-winning chance until a frantic scramble that led to Talley's penalty shot.
