Beckham to launch own underwear line
Boxers or briefs or both? Soccer icon David Beckham is gearing up to launch his own bodywear line next Valentine's Day with Swedish fashion chain H&M, he announced Thursday.
"Hi guys, today I'm pleased to announce a new long-term partnership with H&M to sell my new underwear range," he wrote on his Facebook page. "It won't be available until February next year but I'll keep you updated with details and pictures nearer the time..."
In Stockholm, H&M said Beckham's new line would be sold in some 1800 of the company's stores in about 40 countries worldwide. "It marks the beginning of a significant relationship between H&M and David Beckham, with new Bodywear products being launched seasonally," the company said in a press release.
There were no further details on the Beckham designs or styles. Two years ago, the 36-year-old English soccer star modeled underwear for a series of Armani ads.
