BALTIMORE (AP) Yankees right-hander Chad Green left Friday night's game against the Orioles with right elbow pain.

The rookie was replaced in the second inning after issuing a walk to Manny Machado. He was charged with four runs and five hits in 1 2/3 innings.

Green will be examined by a doctor on Saturday, the Yankees said in a statement.

Green was making his eighth career start. He came in 2-3 with a 4.09 ERA.
