Watch: Steve Francis throws less-than-great ceremonial first pitch at Astros game

Former NBA star Steve Francis was a special guest of the Houston Astros on Tuesday night.

He took the mound before the game began to throw out a ceremonial first pitch, and...it wasn't exactly a stellar offering. 

Presumably called upon to appear at a game pitting the Astros and Baltimore Orioles because Francis is from the Baltimore area and rose to prominence with the Houston Rockets, he didn't really seem to try and deliver a 'pitch' so much as he flung the ball in the general direction of home plate:

Let this be a reminder that while the concept of 'throwing a pitch from the mound' may sound easy, it's it's probably a lot more daunting than you expect once you're actually standing there on the field.
