Votto scratched from Reds lineup with sore right shoulder

WASHINGTON (AP) Reds first baseman Joey Votto has been scratched from the lineup due to a sore right shoulder.

Left fielder Adam Duvall, who was slated for a night off, started at first base on Saturday at Washington.

Votto went 5 for 9 in the first two games off the series. The 2010 NL MVP is 35 for 106 (.330) in his last 29 games.
