Vogt unconcerned about leg injury suffered on Thursday
In the ninth inning of the Oakland Athletics' eventual 7-5 win over the Detroit Tigers on Thursday afternoon, catcher/first baseman Stephen Vogt left with a noticeable limp.
After the game, it was announced that Vogt's injury was just a right leg cramp - a better diagnosis than it looked at the time considering Vogt's limping.
Vogt spoke with Jane Lee of MLB.com after the game, providing the following update: "Hopefully, it's just a one-day thing and I feel good in the morning," Vogt said after the A's fourth straight win. "I'm usually able to bounce back fairly quickly. It's one of those things I've dealt with, and it's frustrating, but it happens."
With the A's headed to Boston to battle the Red Sox on Friday night, the A's will wait and see regarding Vogt's playing status for the game.
So far in 2015, Vogt is slashing .308/.400/.583 and has been one of the A's top performers as he looks for perhaps his first All-Star selection in July.
