Vin Scully Avenue is happening after unanimous 12-0 City Council vote

On Thursday, word broke that the Los Angeles Dodgers were hoping to rename Elysian Park Avenue -- a road that leads to Dodger Stadium -- as "Vin Scully Avenue" in honor of the legendary Hall of Fame broadcaster.
On Friday, the Dodgers proudly proclaimed on Twitter that the motion passed the City Council vote 12-0, making this dream a reality:

Several Dodgers figures, including players Yasiel Puig, Clayton Kershaw and manager Dave Roberts were among those at City Hall Friday morning for the vote:

Scully, 88, has said that 2016 will be his final season broadcasting for the Dodgers so this is obviously a great tribute to his storied career in the game.
